Adolescence is a time when we figure out who we are. With the demands of school and relationships, it can be overwhelming at times. I help teens learn the coping skills they need to replace isolation, self-harm, substance use and other unhealthy ways of dealing with stress with positive behaviors that improve their overall well being. I provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment where teens can express themselves.
By getting the support they need, they are able to make decisions they can feel good about. I love supporting teens as they navigate life’s challenges and I enjoy helping them gain compassion for themselves and others, as well as improve their communication with friends and family. I adapt my art-therapy approach to suit the specific needs of my teen clients. We may use photography, drawing, sculpture or collage.
